I replaced my old back porch light with an incandescent light bulb socket but had a fluorescent light bulb I got from a local home improvement store for $13 per bulb some years ago. The installation was very straightforward and simple enough as no re-wiring was required. Once it was turned on, the light coming out was soothing, white light without blinding my eyes so it was perfect for the porch and could be left on an extended period of time. I am hoping that the light will last as long as it says on the box.

This is the perfect light for my back porch. It replaces a cheap one the house came with. The upgrade bring a much needed clarity to the back porch at night. The unit is very well constructed with a strong metal cage to protect the light. Also the fixture itself is sealed to prevent water and insects from reaching the light inside. Installation was a breeze with all the parts needed included on the package. It shines with a daylight hue. An easy addition to the house. Very happy and took 1 whole 15 minutes to install. No expert needed, just a Phillips screwdriver and make sure power is off on the socket.

This light was a typical install with 3 wires and wire nuts. After a quick install, I turned the light on and it was a bright white light. It works great on my porch. I can clearly see who is on my porch now using my cameras.

I really like this light. Modern, clean lines and a bright useable light. The light is a clean crisp white and the fixture looks elegant both during the day when off and at night when lit.
The build quality is really good. Cast Aluminum body means it should hold up, outside in the elements, for a long time,
The design is also very well thought out. Installation is very simple and everything that is needed (junction box bracket, wire nut connectors and all necessary screws) is provided. I was able to put it up inside of 10 minutes (including taking previous light down).

Although it is not as bright as other flood-type lights, this is a sealed enclosure which is perfect for a back porch where there are many bugs and insects that get attracted to the lights. This is a great patio fixture but you can also use it inside if you want. It was easy to hook up and provides a great source of light for my backyard. The brand is based in the USA as well. The LED feature will save money.
